Christian Ovrebo-Welker

I stumbled upon Christian through his Instagram and was instantly in love with the only piece he posted. The feedback from my followers was very positive, and even requests for prints! I had to have his name and work on the site. Here is some more information about Christian and his history as an artist.

My name is Christian Øvrebø-Welker. I was born in Drammen, Norway, but
have lived in many places around the world through my life before
earning my degree in the U.S. and working as a graphic designer here.
I also worked as a tattoo artist, freelance designer, and voice over
actor in the period prior to my current position, continuing to do so
in my free time.
My works consist of oil paints, pencil drawings, spray paint,
stenciled works, graffiti/tag pieces, and digital, as well as mixed
media with the
aforementioned.
A primary focus in my pieces has been perception, or lack thereof. I
find that objectivity is vital to our survival and inhabiting this
world, but is non-existent for most of us, at no fault of our own.
There is almost always an aspect of ego centrism which instills
presuppositions in how we view and perceive the world and each other,
but if we can remove this veil, or at least be aware of our own
misconceptions, we may progress closer to a point of unity as human
beings.
